Saturday 27th November sees third-place Harlequins face London Irish at Twickenham Stoop. The Harlequins are battling for second place with the Exeter Chiefs, while London Irish are sat at the lower end of mid-table.
Harlequins betting tips
Harlequins fans will be going into this fixture feeling fairly confident, and they probably have a right to. Their team have scored 32 tries in the Gallagher Premiership 2021-22 season, the most of any team. London Irish are joint second in that regard, so you can probably bet on this being quite a high-scoring game.
The Harlequins will be hoping that Louis Lynagh, their top try-scorer of the season, will be able to grab a couple of tries against their London rivals. The centre has currently scored five in six games and looks set to have an excellent season.
London Irish tips
As we’ve already mentioned, there are sure to be plenty of tries in the Harlequins vs London Irish fixture, but this might not work in the favour of Irish. Although they’ve scored many, they’ve also conceded the third-highest number in the league, which doesn’t bode well when playing against the team that have scored the most tries this season.
A bet against London Irish, especially with the form that Harlequins are in, probably wouldn’t go amiss.
That being said, Agustín Creevy, the club’s Argentinian hooker, might have something to say about his club losing. He’s currently on five tries from eight games, and will be hoping to continue with this excellent form.
Harlequins vs London Irish head-to-head
Historically, this fixture has been a fairly even one. Of the 50 games between the two clubs, Harlequins have won exactly half, whereas London Irish have won 21. Although Harlequins are playing better this season, there’s nothing to stop London Irish from upsetting the home team.
